Olena Kushnir is the founder and CEO of the Ukrainian telecommunications company LLC “WEB PRO”.
In 2023, Olena was appointed Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, due to her many years of experience, active public activity and dedication to improving the telecommunications sector and cybersecurity in Ukraine. She also served as the Chair of the Internet Association of Ukraine Committee on Internet Resource Management and Cooperation with International (I stars) Organizations*
Olena remains a driving force behind the development and sustainability of Ukraine’s Internet infrastructure in the global digital ecosystem and actively participates in the international arena. She has presented papers at many international conferences such as RIPE Meeting, PLNOG, EuroDig, SplinterCon, SEEDig, IFORUM.
Background
Olena holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from the State University of Telecommunications of Ukraine and has received state certification in Technical Information Protection and Information Security Assessment from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.”
Her career in telecommunications began in 2003 at Kyivstar, one of Ukraine’s largest telecom operators. In 2016, she launched her own company. Olena is also a member of the Internet Society (ISOC).
In 2024, she co-founded the first international conference of the Network Operators Group of Ukraine (NOGUA) and currently serves on the organizing committee of IGF UA.
