Anna Wilson has worked for HEAnet since 1997, and has attended RIPE meetings since 1998. Her positions over that time include network engineer, project manager, people manager and now technical architect.

She has been a chair or co-chair of two RIPE working groups and represented the RIPE region on the ICANN ASO for six years. She’s also been heavily involved in the GÉANT community, and won the GÉANT Community Award in 2019.
Her main professional work these days is taking techniques and tools from the development community and bringing them back into networking. She’s interested in how different engineering fields manage safety and reliability, and in particular how community management is done in different ways across different sectors.
